FRUITLAND, Idaho (CBS2) — The search for a missing 5-year-old boy from Fruitland stretched into a third day Friday.
Michael Joseph Vaughan was last seen Tuesday evening around 6:30 p.m. in the area of SW 9th and Arizona. Police believe he could be in danger.
Multiple search agencies, neighbors and others in the community have been out in force since late Tuesday, searching for any sign of Michael, who also goes by the nickname 'Monkey.' So far, there has been no sign of him.
The community is still holding out hope, but the search is getting more desperate by the day.
Friday search update:
Police are now asking anyone who was in the area of SW 8th St., SW 9th St. and Cornwall Way from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. on July 27 to come forward. Officers are trying to paint a more clear picture of the time and area Michael was last seen. Officers are also asking people who live in the immediate area to check their properties, security camera footage, outbuildings, vehicles and irrigation ditches.
Fruitland PD says Michael's family is cooperating with police.

Idaho Mountain Search and Rescue and the Army National Guard have both deployed helicopters in the search, and a citizen search took place Thursday.
